If your bath is rarely used or awkward to step into, replacing it with a shower can make the room more practical. The best solution depends on the existing waste route, floor levels, available space and the people using the bathroom.
Can a shower fit where the bath is now?
Often the bath position is a useful starting point, but the exact tray size, screen arrangement and waste connection must be checked. The new shower also needs comfortable entry and room to reach the controls without squeezing around the basin or toilet.
An open walk-in screen and an enclosed shower manage splashes differently. Choose for the room and your routine rather than a photograph alone.

A low tray is not the same as level access
A low-profile tray still has a step. Whether a flush or level-access solution is practical depends on the layers below the floor, drainage and the work required below the shower. We explain the floor and drainage work before recommending a shower.
If you need easier access, explain your priorities without sharing private medical information. Space for assistance, seats, support rails and reachable controls should be planned together, with specialist advice where appropriate.

Plan the surfaces exposed when the bath comes out
The bath may conceal unfinished walls, flooring or damage to the wall or floor underneath. The quotation should explain whether it covers only the shower area or work across more of the bathroom, and how any repairs behind the old fittings will be handled.
The joints around the tray, wall panels and floor need a suitable waterproofing system. Ventilation and suitable electrical fittings also belong in the plan.
Agree what stays and what changes
Decide whether to keep the toilet, basin and furniture, or replace the whole bathroom at the same time. Compare that work with your budget and how much disruption your household can manage.
If this is the only bath in your home, think about children, guests and your own future preferences. We can discuss the room and prepare a proposal before you decide.
Agree Your Bathroom Quote Before Fitting
We measure the room and agree the products before fitting begins. Your quote explains the preparation, plumbing and installation work included.
Tell us if this is your only bathroom. We can discuss access during the work and how any unexpected repairs will be agreed.
